Tarn-et-Garonne: Land of rivers, heritage and taste

Crossed by three major rivers: the Aveyron, the Tarn and the Garonne, the Tarn-et-Garonne department is renowned for its gentle way of life, offering a succession of varied landscapes, alternating between plains and hills dotted with fields and orchards, wild gorges, limestone plateaux and vine-covered hills. These natural riches are complemented by a fine built heritage, including medieval towns such as Bruniquel, Caylus and Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed abbey, and a city of art and history, Montauban. The region is also rich in gastronomy, with its famous Chasselas and duck specialities.
